OK, I’m pretty sure this is not true (it’s 1:28 am Thursday) and nothing official. Just to let you guys know, that CBC published this information also on their website and then took it off… I rather admit my mistake and leave the post on.
Check out La Presse, when they also affirm that CBC put the Tanguay deal on their website

Havlat in Montreal ?
by JT UTAH
Here we go again.
On Tuesday afternoon, Bob Gainey said that he wanted to get an IMPACT player. See this article, in french. So this means, he doesn’t want a piece of shit player, so his choice are a bit limited. How many impact players are available on the market right now?
Anyway, the Habs would be intrested in Martin Havlat. Pierre Gauthier, assistant GM for the Habs, is strongly supporting the idea of the bringing this “too many time injured player” inside the Bell Centre. When Gauthier was working in Ottawa, he drafted Havlat.
The thing is, I don’t know who Montreal would give for this guy. Ryder or Higgins ? Maybe Huet ?
One thing for sure, the Habs will make a move before trade deadline. If something doesn’t work out, blame it on the LEAFS (suck) or the Sundin no-trade clause. (lol)
