Ryder vs Gionta?

I don’t know why, but I’m getting sick and tired of hearing rumors about Ryder. Anyway, this is the last post I will make on the subject.
I heard that the Devils were intrested in Ryder and they were willing to let go Brian Gionta.
Anyway, one thing is for sure, Ryder will not play for the Habs next year and he will be traded before February 26. Where? I don’t know, but all I hope is that we get more than 12 wooden hockey sticks.

Forsberg in Chicago?

Some GM are sometimes stupid with their money, but I think the offer made by Chicago is pretty smart. They offered a 3 year deal with an average salary of $11 M per year. The Hawks don’t have a lot of high rollers in their team. Their best paid player is Havalt with $6 M. Ho yeah, did you know that their highest paid defencemen is Brent Sopel at 1.5 M ?In a few years, they will have to open the bank account for their up-and-comers, but for the next 2-3 years, their ok. So financially, the offer to Forsberg is a good decision.
Furthermore, Forsberg would be a great addition to the team by helping youngsters Toews and Kane develop. He will bring good experience to the team and probably give more room on the ice for the other players. The power play will also get some benefit of the addition of Forsberg.
But the main concern and reason why Forsberg won’t go to Chicago is he clearly said that he wanted to play for a winning team.
